Recurrent is the EV battery data company. Give us the VIN and current mileage and you get the same independent report we put on every EV we sell, with no inspection appointment and no plugging anything in.
- Range Score, 0 to 100, with a plain label such as Excellent or Good.
- Range today versus new, the miles you can expect on a full charge now compared with the car when it left the factory.
- Original battery capacity and the car's details, so you know exactly which pack you are looking at.
- A shareable link you can send to a seller, a buyer or a lender.
Secure checkout by Shopify. After you pay, text or email us the VIN and current mileage. Reports usually come back in 4 to 24 hours, and we send them during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
How it works
- Buy the test. Checkout takes about a minute and you get an order confirmation by email.
- Send us the car. Text 574-339-5372 or email info@otonamo.com with the VIN and the current mileage. A photo of the odometer and the door jamb sticker works great.
- Get the report. We request it from Recurrent and send you the link. It usually takes 4 to 24 hours, and we deliver during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday, so an order placed after hours or over the weekend goes out the next business day.
When it is worth it
- Buying a used EV somewhere else. A private seller or another dealer says the battery is fine. Now you have an independent number before you hand over the money.
- Selling your EV. A strong score is the easiest way to prove the battery is healthy and hold your price.
- Keeping your car. A few years in, see how much range the pack has really lost instead of guessing from the dash.
Every EV on our lot already comes with its Recurrent report, so you never need this for a car you buy from Otonamo.
Good to know
- Turnaround: usually 4 to 24 hours after we have your VIN and mileage, delivered during our regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
- The report is built from Recurrent's data on your car's make, model, year and mileage. It is an independent estimate of battery health, not a physical inspection.
- Recurrent covers most EVs sold in the United States. If Recurrent cannot produce a report for your car, we refund the full $150.
